History

Xebia was founded in the Netherlands in 2001 and focussed on improving the quality of Java development. In 2004, a specialized development center was added to Xebia's group of senior Java IT architects. Organizations such as KLM, UWV, Prorail, Achmea and RABO Bank were amongst Xebia's first clients. Following the success of Xebia's projects, a development centre was started in Gurgaon in India and in France, Xebia established a specialized Java IT Architects team with EDF, SFR and Saint-Gobain as first clients. Though Xebia offices have a local focus, there is extensive international co-operation and alignment with regard to proposition, knowledge sharing and cultural activities.

Offshoring

Offshore projects are executed with distributed teams. In cooperation with its Indian office, Xebia offers superior quality in services and a methodology that relies on connecting people and delivering working software, thus ensuring results and success. In addition, Xebia India has specialized competence centres for Java, Adobe Flex, IBM Portal and Application Maintenance.

Automated Deployment

Working on at least 10 highly specialized Java Middleware Management assignments with large corporate clients, Xebia identified a need for a standard Automated Deployment solution. Based on indepth knowledge of the entire scope of this problem area, Xebia started a product development project that has resulted in Deployit, the flagship product of XebiaLabs. XebiaLabs is a separate company that markets Deployit to worldwide clients, with Air France KLM as a launching and first customer.
