History

Xebia was founded in the Netherlands in 2001 and initially focussed on improving the quality of Java software development through audits, QA and architecture assignments. In 2004, a specialized Java software development center was added and the first projects were realised. Organizations such as KLM, UWV, ProRail, Achmea and Rabobank were amongst Xebia Netherland's first clients, later followed by companies like ING Bank, Chamber of Commerce, City of Amsterdam, Compare Group, Bol.com and NS.

Because of the success of Xebia's projects, we started our own development centre in Gurgaon in India in 2007. Xebia India currently employs close to 100 people. In France Xebia established a specialized Java IT Architects team with a total of 60 employes by year end 2010. EDF, SFR and Saint-Gobain were among the first clients, to which companies like Plastic Omnion, BNP Paribas, Orange, Accor, JC Decaux have been added over the years. Though Xebia offices have a local focus, there is extensive international co-operation and alignment with regard to proposition, knowledge sharing and cultural activities. This has resulted in international, specialized practices like Enterprise Mobile , BigData and Agile consulting and Training.

Offshoring

We can offer you dedicated, captive development teams, as an extention of your own teams. In many cases we perform projects with distributed teams, or teams that primarily reside in India. Customers serviced in this way are, amongst others, Dun & Bradstreet (US), Human Inference, UWV, ProRail (NL), Plastic Omnion, CoachClub (FR), Aswat (VAE) and Barclays (Singapore).

Xebia India offers superior quality in services and Agile methods, ensuring tangible results and satisfied customers. Xebia India focusses on Java, Mobile, Flex and Portal technologies. In addition we have a specialized migration and competence centre for JBoss and a dedicated LifeRay practise.

Automated Deployment

Working on at least 10 highly specialized Java Middleware Management assignments with large corporate clients, Xebia identified a need for a standard Automated Deployment solution. Based on indepth knowledge of the entire scope of this problem area, Xebia started a product development project that has resulted in Deployit, the flagship product of XebiaLabs. Today XebiaLabs is a separate product company that markets Deployit to worldwide clients, with Air France KLM as a launching customer. More recent customers are Volkswagen, Rolex, SNCF, Banc de France, KLP Norway, NUON/Vattenfall Netherlands, Ministry of Finance Belgium and many others. Offices are located in Paris, Amsterdam and Boston (Head Quarters).
