Why Mature Agile?

Because Agile makes a difference when correctly applied. Especially now. Gartner considers the Netherlands to be an Agile Hotspot. Using Agile methods in software development results in a higher Return on Investment (ROI) and a faster time to market. Agile is suitable for the modern enterprise, but there are also specific challenges. Attendees learned from the experiences of organizations similar to your own. Agile has matured!

Why this Masterclass?

In one exclusive session attendees gained insight in the advantages and applicability of Agile for their organizations and in the degree of Agile adoption in the Netherlands. They are now able to make a thorough assessment of the applicability of Agile within their specific organizations and what the expected results will be.

David Norton, Research Director Gartner explained the cause of the rapid growth of Agile adoption in the Netherlands as well as internationally. He presented detailed adoption figures, shared client experiences and elaborated on Gartners' position with regard to the maturity of Agile. David Norton: "For the first time, we have put all the pieces together and know how to use Agile successfully in the large". Gartner received approximately 950 inquiries last year on Agile from enterprise clients.

Willem van Groenland, IT Director bol.com and CIO of the Year 2008 informed the attendees on the why and how of bol.com's complete transition to Agile in only two months.

Bert Voorbraak, Deputy Director IT ASR Nederland presented about the current major implementation of Agile at ASR Nederland and shared his pioneers' point of view.

Guido Schoonheim, CTO Xebia showed attendees what professional agile projectmanagement means. What is necessary, what are the pitfalls and what is the ROI?

The day also provided ample opportunity for networking with peers and sharing experiences.

For whom?

Attendees were CIO's, IT managers and development managers looking for an edge. They heard about Agile project successes, but wanted to make sure that Agile is mature enough for their enterprise organizations and projects of considerable size. They learned more about serious Agile projects and results and methods from real life practices.
